The Balloon Society of Kentucky is hosting a BFA-sanctioned core topic safety seminar in Louisville, KY on February 5th. The cost is $35 for crewmembers and $75 for pilots.
Seminar topics and instructors are:
a. Weather- Jeremy Kappel, meteorologist WHAS TV
b. Federal Aviation Regulations and Airspace– Ricky Dillbeck, Air Traffic Manager Evansville Tower
c. Pilot Decision Making – Jerry Copas, Images Aloft
d. Accident Review – Randy Sizemore, FAA
e. Crew Safety – Gordon Schwontkowski, crew chief and writer for "Ballooning" magazine.
f. Maintenance and Repair – Bob Boswell, Balloon Loft of KY
g. Competition – Pat Cannon, commercial pilot, writer for "Ballooning" magazine
